From Mindful Owl to Rise of a phoenix

Hi. My name is Marija. I'm a mom, wife and owner of Rise of a phoenix ( Mindful Owl). Mindful Owl was created in 2021 when I was at my lowest point in my life and when my daughter needed me the most. So let me tell you a story about us. But first, thank you for being here. I hope you are doing okay. And if not, I hope you believe that you will be okay. 

So, let's start.

In 2020 I've decided to open a small business with my dear friend. Someone who was with me for 10 years and I believed she would be here forever. My only friend. Unfortunately, I was wrong. And I ended up alone and hurt. I felt betrayed and it messed me up really bad. I was full of anger. 

At the same time, my older daughter just started school. Junior infants. Proud momma. But that didn't go without problems. Unfortunately, she was dealing with bullying. Every single day something happened. Little by little she went from excited, happy little girl to extremely shy and scared. 

She needed my guidance. And I didn't know what to do. 

One day we were reading a book called Brave Little Owl. And the idea was born. I knew Mindful Owl would be our place for learning and self-development. 

We started creating our affirmation cards. She was choosing design and I was explaining the meaning behind affirmations and how to use them. We were playing games with them. And every day she loved it more and more. I've started sharing our journey on Instagram page. For us to see how far we have come, but also to connect with others dealing with similar situations. 

I could see a change in her and I knew I needed to do the same for myself. So I focused a bit more on my mental health and created my first set of affirmation cards for myself. And then second and third, and so on... 

My little Junior Infant became a big, confident and happy 1st grader. And I realised how much I've changed as well. And not long after Mindful Owl became Rise of a phoenix. It is a new stage of our self-development. Our self-love journey. We are stronger. We rise above our problems and we believe in ourselves.
